Joyeaux Charmand is a mountain girl from a close knit village who comes to the big city to join the Hunters. With millions of fans watching her on reality TV, Joy begins to realize that Apex is not all it seems. Soon she finds that her fame may be part of a deep conspiracy that threatens to upend the protective structure built to keep dark magic out. The monsters are getting in and it is up to Joy to find out why.

Why I’m Waiting:

This story sounds amazing. Also, this author is pretty awesome. I don’t think I’ve read a Mercedes Lackey book in about 10 years, but every one I have read was amazing. Plus, my wait is not that long. It comes out in a couple of weeks, and I may have to give in and purchase this pretty.
