A Good Week in Books
So technically speaking this isn't a meme or a challenge because it's not connected to other blogs. It's just my own way of showing the books I get and look forward to reading/reviewing. It also, personally, helps me organize things better by summing everything from my week up. I'll do this one on the Sundays (the end of the week) after I get new books.

Re-Read 2015 Reading Challenge
I came to realize that last year, I only had the chance to
re-read one book. I used to re-read books all the time. In fact, I factor in my
likelihood of re-reading when purchasing books. It’s just so hard to justify
re-reading books when there are so many new books I haven’t read yet.
That is why this year, I am challenging myself to re-read at least 15
books. They can be any books I want. And as you can probably gather from my
picture, I plan on re-reading the whole Harry Potter series because I don’t
believe I’ve re-read them in years –and that’s half of my challenge!
1) Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling
2) Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling
3) Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J. K. Rowling

Why Have I Not Read These Books Yet? Challenge 2014
My coworker (the teen librarian) and I had a long discussion
at the end of the year about all the books we were embarrassed about not having
read yet. And we decided to challenge ourselves to read 15 of these books (we
both had more we could have added, but thought 15 was a reasonable number).
So, instead of joining a reading challenge for the year, like I normally do, I’m doing my own challenge. My coworker and I each have our own list of books to go through. The books on my list are by authors I haven’t tried yet, or books I own but keep postponing getting to, or books I just think any Youth Services Librarian should have read, or books all YA bloggers should most likely read. It’s a little embarrassing to list all these books I haven’t read, for the world to see. But, here I go! Hopefully, I will get to all of them by the end of the year. Once I’ve read one of them, I’ll cross it off the list and put in a link to my review.

Debut Author Challenge 2012
What is the Debut Author Challenge? It's a challenge hosted by The Story Siren (one of my favorite blogs). And it's all about reading new (aka: debut) writers. The challenge is to read at least 12 books this year that are written by first time (first published) YA authors. This doesn't count for authors who have previously published YA titles. There are contests and things only available to those participating in the challenge. And it's a great way to discover new authors. So, I'm very excited to be a part of the challenge this year!
