Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine that allows bloggers to share which books we are most anticipating.
This week I am
waiting on The Hidden Oracle (The Trials
of Apollo #1) by Rick Riordan (5/3/16):
Description on Goodreads:
How do you punish an immortal?
By making him human.
After angering his father Zeus, the god Apollo is cast down from Olympus. Weak and disorientated, he lands in New York City as a regular teenage boy. Now, without his godly powers, the four-thousand-year-old deity must learn to survive in the modern world until he can somehow find a way to regain Zeus's favour.
But Apollo has many enemies - gods, monsters and mortals who would love to see the former Olympian permanently destroyed. Apollo needs help, and he can think of only one place to go . . . an enclave of modern demigods known as Camp Half-Blood.

Summary:
So, I got to hear all about this book when I went to go see
Rick Riordan at his first tour stop in Boston. And let me tell you, it sounded
amazing then. It sounds even better now. I love the cover. I love that this
will take place in Camp Half-Blood. I have grown to be a rather big Rick
Riordan fan over the years, and I cannot wait to see where this one goes. Also,
more Percabeth please? And possibly Nico too!
What are you waiting on this week?
Holly Balls, Riordan is like a MACHINE with these new series - I can't keep up! But I want to read them ALL!
